LËT’Z DANCE
Did you know that until the 1960s, Esch-sur-Alzette was the hotspot for lively parties? Dance halls and ballrooms lit up rue d’Audun in the "Esch-Grenz" border region.
On Saturday, September 28, the "LËT’Z DANCE" Night of Culture takes you back to that legendary atmosphere with a series of dances across the city!
Just like back in the day, move from one dance hall to another, experiencing different vibes and tracing the city's evolution as the night goes on. From grand orchestras to electronic dance, tea dances, jazz, and rock, there’s something for everyone!
The dances will run alongside the musical "SL’ESCH, " which tells the history of the Conservatory, once a chic venue frequented by steel mill engineers. And there's more! Don't miss the monumental construction of a cardboard blast furnace and other captivating artistic installations around the city!
On Sunday 29 September, come and watch the spectacular deconstruction of the cardboard blast furnace, discover the SL'ESCH musical, enjoy Elektron's night-time digital projections and explore the city with LOVÓ's audio-visual tour of the city.
