The Second World War is still visible in Luxembourg today.

As in Esch/Alzette, where the National Museum of Resistance and Human Rights, a place of remembrance and a monument, marks the landscape with its imposing architecture. The conference analyses the multitude of these historical and memorial sites, including the war memorials, the "Stolpersteine" (stumbling stones), a project to lay stones in memory of the victims of the Nazi regime, initiated by the German artist Gunter Demnig in 1992, and the steles and memorial plaques found throughout the country.

Let's retrace the steps of these witnesses to a dark chapter in Luxembourg's history.
